Overview
Xen Cannabis Kit B is a multiplex qPCR kit for microbial detection in cannabis research. It targets the Shiga toxin genes stx1 and stx2 associated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC), together with Salmonella and a cannabis internal control.
Targets and dye channels
| Target | Dye |
|---|---|
| STEC 1 (stx1) | ROX |
| STEC 2 (stx2) | ROX |
| Salmonella | FAM |
| Cannabis internal control | HEX |
stx1 and stx2 share the ROX channel. This channel does not distinguish the two targets individually.
Controls included
Pathogen controls for Salmonella, stx1 and stx2, plus a cannabis internal control.
