SeqOnce Biosciences, Inc. announced today it has completed a $1 million series seed capital funding round. The funds will be deployed to support the commercialization of SeqOnce’s fast and simple library construction kit for whole genome next generation sequencing (NGS).
Joseph Dunham, Ph.D., SeqOnce co-founder and Chief Science Officer, developed the proprietary chemistry that enables the preparation of samples for sequencing in less than 25% of the time required by most other library preparation methods. SeqOnce’s kit features a single-tube 3-step highly efficient protocol, including fragmentation. The technology can be applied to DNA from any sample source and can be adapted to most sequencing applications.
“The funds raised will enable SeqOnce to commercially launch our first product and lay the foundation for the future growth and new products,” said Chris Angermayer, CEO of SeqOnce.
